Sarah Sambles

I'm a writer, blogger and communications coach based in Ottawa, Canada. I write contemporary middle grade fiction and have two manuscripts which I'm querying. My main characters seem to end up being kids who have to fight against the odds in one manner or another. As a marketing consultant with nearly 20 years' experience, my passion is to help fellow writers overcome their fear of marketing and gain the skills to successfully engage their target audience, while staying true to themselves. I do that through my blog, one-on-one coaching, and in group workshops. I completed a BA and MA in literature to indulge my love of books. When I entered the world of work I added to my arsenal a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and the Dale Carnegie Course.

Vincent Teetsov

My entry into the world of children's books has been a process of revisiting what sparked my creativity as a person from the very beginning. Some of my most vivid memories come from childhood, where I was inspired by everyday characters and their extraordinary adventures. Writing, for me, was initially channelled into poetry and prose, infused with non-fiction sensibilities. My background in musical performance brought me to songwriting and storytelling. At present, this has evolved into a picture book collaboration with illustrator Laani Heinar. With this, we are creating a new world with adventurous, caring characters to inspire children just like we were.
